Mr Conroy added, “Narrabri is one of the areas of greatest solar benefits of anywhere in Australia.

“So, you’ve got a great resource here, secondly you’ve got a community that demanded it.”

As a local not-for-profit organisation, Geni.Energy has said it is excited to be able to help provide this much-needed service to Narrabri.

“I already know EV owners choosing a travel route, that excludes Narrabri, due to our lack of charging infrastructure. Sally Hunter, one of the founders of Geni.Energy said.

Staff from the Walgett Aboriginal Medical Service (WAMS) say they will be able to employ an extra nurse and improve their services thanks to savings achieved by installing 143kW of solar panels on its roof.

Not-for-profit renewable energy consultants Geni.Energy have won their biggest renewable energy grant to date, bringing a new community battery to Narrabri.

The atmosphere was electric at Geni.Energy’s electric vehicle charger launch, and there was plenty to be excited about as Narrabri welcomed the EV charging station to Barwan Street.

The Geni.Energy community EV charger drew the community on May 16 to Tiemens Creative and Harvey IT’s new offices, which will house the solar-powered charging station.

Gebi Energy was fortunate enough to put in for a competition and Femur donated an electric vehicle charging station.

Partnering with renewable industry organisations to bring new solar,  storage, wind and bio-energy projects to the northwest NSW region in  homes, small businesses, commercials and farms.
