Narrabri Community Battery Project

Trial Project for Narrabri

The Narrabri Community Battery Trial Project, funded by the federal Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, is set to revolutionise energy usage in Narrabri. The project will install and commission the town’s first 360kWh battery in the Town Hall Carpark, which will soak up excess solar energy during the day and make it available at night. This innovation will help support the grid, reduce energy bills, and increase the level of solar power in the community.

At Geni.Energy, we are committed to empowering our community through our Community Advisory Group. This group allows locals to play an ongoing role as a link between the community battery and the wider community. By providing feedback, as well as helping with events and activities, the Community Advisory Group plays a crucial role in making our renewable energy project a success.

We believe in the power of community engagement at our Narrabri Community Battery Trial Project. We know that together, we can build a sustainable future for our community. That's why we are inviting you to be a part of our project and share your feedback with us. We want to hear from you, so please subscribe to our updates and stay informed about our renewable energy initiatives.

Narrabri Community Battery Trial Project

As part of our commitment to renewables, Geni.Energy is proud to be delivering the Narrabri Community Battery Trial Project, one of the first community batteries in Australia. This project will bring localised benefits to homes with solar panels as well as supporting the grid. We are thrilled to be on the leading edge of this exciting development and hope to use this experience to help other communities transition to renewable energy.
